So, i got this background few days ago, and i was wondering, how to do this kind of "fire effect"? I mean, i put an object, or a letter, and make flames around it?

Here's the wallpaper.

Thanks in advance!

Ok, thanks guys, i'll be on it today...

As i understood from fast reading those tutorials, it is all about combining the existing picture of some object, and existing picture of the flame...

I'll keep ya informed of the progress, i'm sure i'll finish all those tutorials these days.

Thanks again!

Hello asharak. I have a suggestion for you concerning the flame effect. I think you could achieve that by using brushes, smoke brushes and add them some colour and playing with bleding modes.

Or set your guitar on fire and take a picture of it...

lmao probably a lot of other photoshop effects could have been made simpler and quicker if we just did it for real and took a picture!
.... like actually punching the guy instead photoshoping the bruises :S

PsG Disclaimer:
PsG does not advocate actually punching

find some sources :

GUITAR
"probably you'll need to extract it from background first"

FIRE
"Some good stock image"

try on deviantart for some good images stock or google it "for learning purposes"

- then some layer gradient layer fill
- some layer blendings
- some liquify, warp settings
- plus some color correction and sharpenning

and you are done :)

Thought the same as you. I've practiced the work with flames, i'll try to insert them to the guitar. Thanks for help, guys. (:
