hi, My name is matt. I was a pro newspaper photographer about 15 years ago when we had to print everything in chemicals in B&W!
I have always wanted to return to photography and have spent the past few months trying to get to grips with photoshop. I find a lot of the online tutorials very helpful.

Welcome I started with thousands of old scanned photos that needed edits, so Ps and all the forums and tutorials came in handy big time.......especially Ps forums but Photoshop Gurus my favorite.enjoy the forums

Welcome to the forum , Matt.

What CS are you on? There be a lot of tutorials, tips and problem solving within these halls..... as well as tutorials in the PSG front page. Hope you find your time enjoyable here.

Cheers guys. I am using CS4. I have been doing a lot of the artwork for my new website. I would post a link but I think I will get banned for spamming!

Hi, my name is Jim and I too grew up in photography in the darkroom printing black and white and also used to use ASA as my film speed. There was nothing like the smell of fixer and the developer trays LOL. It is a new world of photography now with all the new software and digital imaging out there. It is different to use a computer to accomplish what I used to accomplish susing a dodging mask etc.

There's nothing like the smell of acetic acid and sodium thiosulfate, the good old days.

I was a Plus-X shooter primarily, ASA 125 but I love it now with the digital darkroom. the best!
