Need help with fonts. I can't delete fonts from Font Book

I don't understand that because I just formatted the hard drive and re-installed Adobe Suite and I have not downloaded any fonts yet.

Need help with fonts. I can't delete fonts from Font Book

Thanks Sam. I only tried to delete them from Font Book because I don't actually know how to use Fontbase yet. There are a lot of Asian fonts that I know I'll never use and I'd just like to get rid of them. Then I'd like to organize my fonts with Fontbase so I'm not looking at so many when I'm...

Need help with fonts. I can't delete fonts from Font Book

I just installed Fontbase and I'd like to organize my fonts, but I open Font Book and it won't let me. I get this attached message and I have no idea how to proceed. Also, if anyone can recommend a good video for learning Fontbase I'd like to know about it. I just installed Fontbase and I'd...

    Filter gallery is greyed out

Thank you Sam. I looked at that short article and I'll keep that in mind. I'm guessing that when producing an image for print (meaning CMYK colours) you do all the work in RGB and then switch over at the end before saving? BTW, I figured out how to fix the colour picker issue I mentioned.

    Filter gallery is greyed out

This is very frustrating and I hope someone can help me. I can't figure out how to activate the filter gallery when I open a new art board in CMYK colours because it's greyed out. When I open it in RGB colours it seems to work. I also noticed that when I open the foreground and background...

    Quick question about BRUSH TOOL.

Thank you Sam, I really appreciate this! I spent a few hours this evening watching tutorials about layer masks but I still have a ways to go before I have a full understanding of it. Layer masks are a big part of working with PhotoShop and I need to know it because I want to do commercial...

    Quick question about BRUSH TOOL.

Thanks Sam. Here is a quick screenshot. The rectangle in the middle is a separate layer and the stroke on the left is on that layer. The stroke on the right is on the bottom layer. I thought if the smaller layer was selected then the stroke would only show up on that layer. I have a lot to learn...

    Quick question about BRUSH TOOL.

When I use the brush tool I notice that it paints not only on the selected layer but also other layers. How do I paint so the paint only shows on the selected layer? Also a somewhat related issue: When I pain on one layer then use blending mode "overlay", some of what I paint still shows up...

    Question about HDR with PhotoShop

Thanks Eggy, I appreciate that. I have watched some of those videos but not all of them. I'll check those out.

    Question about HDR with PhotoShop

I'm used to using PhotoMatix to do HDR but that was because I didn't have PhotoShop. Now I do and I'm learning all I can. I've played around with HDR in PhotoShop but I can't tell if it's working. I don't know if I'm just looking at the middle exposure or if it's actually combining the 3 images...

Question about focus stacking - I'm new to Photoshop

I appreciate that Sam. As I said, I'm still rather new to all this but I will look into layer masks and how to use them. This is just a practice exercise. My plan is to use this technique to do architectural photography and other kinds of product shots. Thanks again!

Question about focus stacking - I'm new to Photoshop

Hello Sam. Yes, I meant to say focus stacking. When I open this image on my iMac the blurring around each screw is more noticeable. You can see it on the ruler behind the screw. I'm wondering if there is a way to correct this with the use of masking layers, but as I said I'm new to this and I...

Question about focus stacking - I'm new to Photoshop

Hello, Yesterday I was experimenting with Focus Stacking after watching a video on YouTube. As far as Photoshop goes, I followed the directions as best as possible, but I still have problems. Please see image and notice the blurring around each screw. I'd like to know how to fix this. If you...
