although the replies to your question are accurate, I'm sure they weren't as informative as you may have liked. So here's a link that may explain it better.. http://www.thegoldenmean.com/technique/dodge.html

    LCD MONITOR BUZZING

When on the internet ONLY.. my monitor, a ViewSonic 22" LCD buzzes as photos load up on the internet. I also have a Samsung 24" which doesn't. Any thoughts as to what's causing it? I've checked the connections, everythings on tight. The ViewSonic has a 'useless' iPod port with built-in speakers...

Hi a question about copying a web site design?

Everything that can be done, in design, has been done. Not to mention the existance of free web templates available on the internet. It really boils down to a question of your personal philosophy regarding creativity. Would you be happy copying someone elses work? Would you be satisfied using a...

    an attempt at veggiman

thanks.....as I mentioned in the post, I knew that there were a ton of glitches. many more than light sources. this was done with photos from a disk and some downloaded stuff. the individual images had varying light sources. I attempted to overcome that by creating a 'hard light' source in the...

    an attempt at veggiman

I really enjoyed the veggie alien that I had posted here earlier. It was done in a 3d app, I decided to try one using photoshop. There are a ton of technical glitches in this, but you know, I don't really think it matters. It's just for fun anyway. I worked on it off and on and just had some...

    Problem with feather...

I meant 'feather'...sorry...that's what happens when you get old. Feather..tolerance..tolerance..feather..they're both numbers in a little white box. 8))

    Problem with feather...

No other setting for this function comes to mind..try clearing your PS preferances before you go through the hassle of re-installing though. Something may be stuck in there ???

    Problem with feather...

see the panel at the top, where tolerance is set at 32....change that number to '0'. When you say " whenever I use the rectangular marquee tool with feather", that's exactly what you're getting...feathering. In this case, 32 pixels worth of feathering.

It's been a while since I've been active in this forum. I have lots of time now and will be posting some new thingy's Those familiar with my posts from the past, know that I'm mostly about textures in Photoshop. How to remove a background in photoshop 6.

No one will volunteer if they don't know what they're getting into. It's wise to post the photo you'd like help with when you ask for assistance. ;)

    re make

Damn...caught again. The background was 'simply added for the sake of expediency. I'm working on a proper background as I write this. No I'm not...I'm gonna crash instead. I've got Ed Alleyn Johnson on ( eclectic electric violin ) and it drives me to work into the wee hours. I'll post when complete.

    Remove text from this logo!

exactly as Gaussian says. You are creating un neccessary work for yourself when a simple remake will work better. I'm only adding to this thread because the same thing applies to so many other requests for help. A common question here is, "How do I do this ['the hard way']? If you take time and...

    Cutting a tree

that's a helluva project you've decided to do. What's so special about 'That' tree that you couldn't use one that didn't require so much work? \:/

    re make

I haven't posted anything for a while. Mostly because in the summer and spring I have way too many things to do. But today I decided to work on an old image and post it for kicks. It's mostly about the textures. hope someone likes 'em..

    Hiya

Well..Yeah..There are GURUS. And a few can easily call themselves gurus. And some may be referred to by others as gurus...But for the average schmuck like me to call myself a 'GURU' would just be a tad tedious. :righton:. Professionals ?..yes. Knowledgeable ? yes...Gurus..no.
