    My cactus is blooming

Thanks Joy...I'm no expert with cactus but this particular one is known as 'Bunny Ears'. Here's a full shot of the plant: I'm not sure what my largest cactus is called. Any ideas?

Improving a logo for my dvd's

Here's a dvd cover I just completed for 'Treasure Island'. I enclude a closeup of the credits to show the use of the new fonts and using the tracking and vertical scaling options. Thanks for all the help. :} Edit: I noticed I misspelled 'Beery' so I redid the front.

Improving a logo for my dvd's

Welles, Thanks so much for remembering my font question. Thanks too to Lily (great job on her Movie Poster). I've learned two things. One, that the spacing between letters can be adjusted using the 'tracking' setting and two, the vertical scale can be adjusted as well...

Improving a logo for my dvd's

Yes, as I mentioned in my opening post, this is strictly for my own personal use. The movie is captured from tv, just as you would using a vhs tape recorder. The jacket label is also made from scratch, not a copy of the commercial label. I prefer my tv captures on dvd rather than tape. The...

    "The Music Box"

Released in 1932, this short film won an Acadamy Award for Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. The film is just over 28 minutes and is about 55mb in file size. The bitrate is 240kps so it should stream with little delay for Broadband connections...and even work well for dialup. You can left click...

Improving a logo for my dvd's

Thanks for the comments Welles. I'm still not too crazy about the 'C'...but the 'O' turned out great. ;) The plan is to use these on dvd labels I create for the protective dvd jacket. I've posted this one before, but here's an example of what I mean: Made from scratch using stills I...

Improving a logo for my dvd's

I'm trying to emulate the 'Fox Studio' logo to add to my dvd covers I make from tv captures. Any suggestions on how I can improve the look? I'd also like to something similar with the MGM and Republic logos too. These are for my own personal use...don't want any problems with trademark...

Welles, Thanks for sharing Wendy's 'Frosted glass' styles. The letters of her name above look like they're made of candy...like 'gummy bears'. :righton:

Old fashioned Matinee' with Image Ready

I couldn't get the curtain to 'operate' over the movie screen but... When I was young, many, many years ago...tv was in it's infancy. We got our news, a cartoon and a double feature at the Sunday Matinee'. I thought I'd try to duplicate that feeling for you. If you go to this PAGE, I have...

    Hiding the media player

First, thank you both for responding and I apologise for not replying sooner...been a bit busy lately. :\ I'll look into both a javascript solution or flash (hopefully it supports a 'click to start' option) as soon as possible. I wouldn't use it for my current 'jukebox' as that would...

    Hiding the media player

I know this isn't a photoshop subject but wasn't sure where else to post this: Some of you may have visited my 'Jukebox' I created using photoshop and image ready. My question is: Is there a way by script or other means to hide the media player when a song is selected for play? As it is...

    3D Pipe Dreams

Erik, You asked: 1/ I live in Europe (Absurdia, aka Belgium) ...does this dvd come with a regio code? (hope not) I'm not sure but assume it is either region free or can be purchased with the proper region code. 2/ Is it playable on puters and on "normal" dvd's? Yes, it plays fine...

    3D Pipe Dreams

Welles, Glad you enjoyed it even with my reduced quality version. Here's the home page you're looking for: http://www.animusic.com/ You ought to see/hear it on my 64" HDTV in 5.1 surround. %} By the way, here's the link to that 'fat' video that you couldn't seem to get to work in one...

    3D Pipe Dreams

To fully enjoy Pipe Dreams, you should have high speed access and a good speaker setup. Originally from a dvd, I've down converted as much as possible while still keeping the video and audio at a high quality. Hope you like it. I don't know what 3D app was used to create the graphics but...

COLLEGE GIRL NEEDS PHOTOSHOP HELP DESPERATELY

From what I can read, psd files should import while maintaining transpariency with no problems. I've used psd when creating dvd buttons with transparent background using different software and it works fine. Here's a clip from a pdf file (It says it's for FCP3 but FCP4 is in the title)...

    Adding a Hit Counter, How?

I'm not familiar with Dream Weaver so I can't give you specific information on how to do it. I ran a search at the Macromedia website and found several hit counter related scripts. http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/search/index.cfm?loc=en_us&term=hit%20counter Perhaps someone here that uses...

    Adding a Hit Counter, How?

What web page editor do you use? Some, like Front Page, have the ability to add a hit counter built in. If your editor does not, you can always add a remotely hosted counter. Here's a link to a few different remote counter scripts: http://www.thefreecountry.com/scripthosting/counters.shtml I...
