    History

Hi All, Love the new site Keeper, it looks great. I am using PS 7 and I have a series of History snapshots 6 to be exact and I was wondering if there is a way to be able to go back to say No. 3 and change something without losing snapshots 4, 5 & 6. No. 3 snapshot is where I have selected a...

Ready to kick the paint bucket

Thanks Gaussian that's how I was planning to do it. Still curious though why I was getting a Vector Mask instead of the Layer Mask.

Ready to kick the paint bucket

Hey Gaussian I might have spoken too soon, I tried moving on to a new section and duplicating what I did on the previous selection. However when I tried to add a layer mask for some reason it kept coming up with a vector mask. :( Maybe the best way to do this would be to first select...

Ready to kick the paint bucket

I tried to follow your example and selected a section with the Polygonal Lasso Tool but couldn't click on the Mask button for some reason it was dimmed out is there a step I'm missing.

Ready to kick the paint bucket

Thanks Gaussian, it does work better with the settings you suggested but I would like to keep the opacity in the low ranges, as you can see on the pic that the right lower wall is not evenly coloured when I use the lower settings. I'd be interested to know what a better way to do this is if you...

Ready to kick the paint bucket

Hi all, long time between visits. I'm in the process of repainting a house in PS that is. My problem is that after I have selected an area to paint e.g. a wall of the house I can't seem to get an even spread. If I click the paint bucket in the center of the wall the colour doesn't flow all...

Wow great picture stoker, well I sure got enough to keep me busy for the rest of the year. Got the feeling I'll be coming back again soon. Keeper the picture is of a Sanctuary door knocker that hangs on the door of Durham Cathedral in England . If you were on the run in the old days and you...

    AOM

Thanks all of you guys, I knew I could count on you to get me some answers. What a great source of information :D I checked my Adobe Online in Preferences for PS and found it was set up to check once a week for downloads. I've disconnected that and will see if that corrects the problem...

    AOM

Whoops !!! sorry about that but it just went ahead and posted when I clicked on Return to start a new sentence. My problem is with AOM which until it raised it's ugly head I had no idea what it was. The last few times I've opened up PS 6.0 the screen will freeze and when I Force Quit (...

    Photoshop 6.0 sick

I don't think you would need to worry about new drivers etc. unless you wanted to print and scan in X. You won't be able to use PS 6 in OS X. I think you would have to switch back to 9.2 to get your drivers etc. to work. I could be mistaken though [honesty]

    Photoshop 6.0 sick

I don't have OS X installed yet still not sure if I am ready for it yet. You can install it with 9.2 and switch from one to the other depending what you applications you want to run. I didn't need to upgrade from 9.1 to 9.2 as 9.2 doesn't do anything for you if you don't have X installed...

Thanks Stu, I've been running this way for quite a while now and this is the first time I've had a problem but if it keeps on occurring there might be something to what you say.

    Photoshop 6.0 sick

It is if you are using OSX, I really shouldn't be using this version as it doesn't do anything for me until I load X. I'm planning on doing that soon so I figure I might as well leave it on.

    Photoshop 6.0 sick

Thanks guys but I just got it back to normal. I eliminated anything to do with PS 6 and loaded 5.5 just to see if it would work and it did. I then loaded 6.0 again and this time it worked , don't know what the gremlins were up to but I hope I've seen the last of them. :D

    Photoshop 6.0 sick

Got a serious problem with Photoshop 6.0. I'm using a G4 Mac, system 9.2. Tried to open it up to view some digital photos I'd transferred from my camera. I'd viewed some of them earlier without any problems, but this time for some reason PS would not open up properly. By that I mean I...
