    Which font?

How would I track down what this font is? Does anyone on here know? I tried footsquirrel but didn't get anywhere

    Flag effect

    Thanks very much @IamSam

    Flag effect

I didn't quite understand making a selection of the type, saving the selection and stroking the selection on a new layer. :(

    Flag effect

Thanks, I think its Averta. Did they do that effect on the font using drop shadow? I like it, better than just a plain font.

    Flag effect

Many thanks, that has done the job :) I don't suppose you are good at fonts too and know what font they are using too?

    Flag effect

I did try initially that but I felt it made the flag lighter than it should be. In the example image it seems like theres been no colour loss

    Flag effect

If I have a standard flag background with no effects, how do I get similar effects on top of the flag like the one below?

Help me remember how to do this

Thanks for that Rich. On a related note, how would I get the correct position for 83%? I kind of guessed, i wasn't sure if there was an more accurate way of finding that out

Help me remember how to do this

I did something on photoshop a while ago but I can't remember how I did it. Below is the circle with layer 24 on the photo disabled. Now here it is when it is active. Problem is, I can't remember how I did that. I think I created a new layer, used the pen tool and filled the whole background...

Yet another question, what effect is this?

Thanks, that helped somewhat too, although now the blue is different to I wanted but that shows me how to get that effect showing through :)

Yet another question, what effect is this?

Thanks alot for explaining, hadn't used any of these options before. So it looks like this now, I'd still like some sort of effect on the blue background as mine is plain compared to the example image in the earlier post. Maybe they were just using a different paper background on that one?

Yet another question, what effect is this?

I've done it by desaturing the photo and upping the brightness, probably not the correct way though?

Yet another question, what effect is this?

I created a new color fill layer and i've got there now, its just as you said the letters are not white but the colour of the paper. I tried colour overlay but that didn't work, is there an easy way to get it white?

Yet another question, what effect is this?

I followed that 100% as you said but when I clicked on layer mask for the background it ended up looking like this and I can't change the colour of the text, its the same blue as the background colours text.

Yet another question, what effect is this?

I managed to do the first part with the 92% opacity background but I can't work out how you did it for the text effect too. I have the number 5 in a separate layer, I've not used layer masks much so I'm not sure how you did that.

Yet another question, what effect is this?

The effect on top of the blue and white number, its like a finger print on the number and along the middle its like its been folded

Yet another question, what effect is this?

Do you know this effect? I'm struggling to find it.
