    the gradient is set to 'hue' it's purpose being an overlay to color the below layers The left is confined using the invert / method. The right gradient is spread throughout the whole document and not confined, hence why only the top of the gradient shows Both are set to 'hue'

    yours looks like its fine, your gradient is confined to the artboard which makes me think it might be my version of photohop or I've picked up a bug if I create a gradient layer it doesnt act that way

    haha thanks! I just would have thought adding an adjustment layer would affect the artboard only as often I'll work with different designs /. atboards with one canvas I found a few forums mentioning this, I thought maybe it was a bug but it appears its just the norm, in my version at least

    oh no sorry that was just to demo it So the artboard will contain several layers, text and images, and I was wanting an overlay to cover everything, which works perfectly when not using artboards in a regular photoshop doc

    Thanks for your help, yes its photoshop 2020 So it populates with lorem ipsum but if I want to edit this the big box remains.. Its not a huge deal, I can get around it.. I just figured there's probably one click I am missing somewhere

    All in the title really! It seems a huge waste of space to display all this into in the tab esp when you have a lot open I dont need to know the zoom, color profile, if there are smart objects embedded.. How do I turn this off!?
