Restoration work on older, actually, to me, ancient photographs.

Here is one I posted on another thread earlier it wasn't quit completed yet but I received some very helpful info from other members. They are not perfect but from what I had to work with they came out OK. By the way I did receive a "Place name" map from my Sister so now I know whom I'm looking...

    Image Restoration (2 examples)

Nice work, and lots of hours in front of the PC screen! I won’t mention the obvious areas that could use some rework as you have noted them yourself. One thing that wasn’t mentioned, and it’s probably just me. In the second picture I would have removed the small line (maybe phone) from the...

    What do you think.

I’m some what new with PS so please bear with me. For the most part I like the changes in #2 it exemplifies that bright fresh sunny day look, except for the clouds. To my eyes they don't look entirely natural.

    Hello all !

Well Steve I looked into ACR and found I don’t have the capability in PS-6 so here’s a little show and tell as to what I came up with after way to many hours of play. Did I use the “play” word? I’ll have to ask my Sister if there is a list of place names for the image so it’ll be at least of...

The subject layers are a area of PS I have spent very little time getting familiar with. Over the years I've been a on again and off again PS user. No doubt I need to start digging into more than the easy stuff. Thanks

    Hello all !

Thanks for the comments. I've pretty much experimented with the brightness/contrast, on this project, without much success. The clone tool and other similar tools will obviously be getting a good workout. Now the the LEVELS you refer to I have never bothered spending a lot of effort getting...

    Hello All - !

Hello, Welcome. I’m new to the site myself. Wow! 20,000 files. As much as I enjoy working with PS I thought the 30 or so old files I have to re-work was a bit much.

    Hello all !

Here you are Steve thanks for having a look! For what it's worth it took me so many try's to get this image sent I gave up trying, until this one last time. Have a great day! knarf

    Extremely faded family image

I’m using PhotoShop, V-6.0. I know it’s pretty antiquated by today’s standards but that‘s what I have to work with. I’ve recently acquired some old family photographs and many are in pretty sad shape to say the least. There are a few that I aquired that I feel are quit possibly beyond...

    Hello all !

Hello all, I’ve joined this site in hopes of extending my limited knowledge about PhotoShop, V-6.0, and its’ capabilities. I know it’s pretty antiquated by today’s standards but that‘s what I have to work with. I’ve recently acquired some old family photographs and many are in pretty sad shape...
