I recently upgraded from the original PhotoshopCS to CS5 and I want to make oil paintings from photos. I purchased a Wacom tablet and tried playing a little with it but I really have no clue what I am doing with the paint brushes, etc. Any ideas on how to get me started?

Hi Deb,

As with everything in photoshop there are many ways to do any task that you want. You can search the internet for oil paint actions and filters and come up with a lot of stuff.

Dont know if this is something that will work for your needs or not but its a pretty cool lil piece of free editing program.

Its a long tut but a good one

What the egg cup are you goofing on about:question:

yes off course i watched first 2 mins

For one, a 17 minute tutorial, especially this one isnt long at all. and 2 if you cant watch more then 2 minutes, then why bother asking questions to learn when its obvious you arent dedicated or just lazy when you have to mutter stupid crap about a well indepth tutorial on something as complicated as Oil Painting, which you have no clue.

Hehe, I was gunna say, 17minutes doesn't even equate to an intro!

I just purchased 125 hours of training for a new piece of software - now THAT is a tutorial! haha

Sorry guys but we can't keep everyone happy all of the time, all we can do is keep doing what we are all doing regardless. Shops more than a computer program it's away of life and a big part of my life now, the all consuming monster that lives in my black box of delights, awesome technology wrapped up in a few suits.
