Drawing circle: issue with shape definition

starting from a 300 dpi image, I draw a simle circle shaped path and fill it with foreground color, and then the result is just not clean. The border does not look acceptable. I don't understand what the problem is

can you post it so we can see? It may help to see what you are doing wrong

I just tried it and was able to get good edge definition up to a 100% view. Above that the pixels began to become noticeable.
