How can I change the color of this image to white, without lose the texture?

Hello, I really apreciate your help: I don't know how to erase that yellow and
black colors without losing the texture. I have this image as a layer and the eraser tool
doesn't work for my purpose.

I cleared it changing its settings to black & white and then, making it brighter, but it lost a
lot of texture.

Thanks in advance for your help from this newbie. :redface:

the colors make up the textures ,removing the colors is going to remove the texture
could you restate what you are trying to do?

if you are trying to change the black to white justy hit the command key+i to inverse it to whilte
 
Thanks. I did it after reading your answer. It invert also the texture, so
not working well. But I just tried making that layer a "Smart Object" and using
the magic eraser. Apparently, it works!!

Thanks a lot, your answer made me find that way!
 
thats strange changing to smart object changed the color, smart objects are not editable as far as eraser goes . I'm missing something but if it works for you that all that matters good luck.I must be not understanding.
