How to improve this background

I enjoy making space themed backgrounds for my pc but I have struggled with this one and was wondering if someone could help point me in the right direction

Welcome, rollcast.

Personally, I find the galaxy centre a tab bit bright and large. Needs a bit more cloud/dust cover in that area.

Maybe you can start with that......

I followed that tutorial and came up with this?


I have lost my file for that first pic so I will need to start it from scratch

Nice job roll cast it looks a lot "alive" now, the only thing is you could lower your saturation or layer opacity a bit, specially the white spots on the bottom/middle right.

Ya know... you can use that image over a B&W space scene set to multiply to add color to the space scene....
