Labeling Photo's

I would like to start some amateur photography. I have a Nikon D90 and love it. But i don't know how to label my photo's! Is there a specific editing program i need for this? At the moment im using my mothers Creative Memories Photoshop program and don't know how to do it from there! If anyone has some suggestions it would be really helpful

If by label you mean watermark, you can create a brush with Photoshop to mark your images.

If you're asking how name the images, there is no right or wrong way, name them in a way that works for you.
Use a descriptive name that means something to you and adding the date helps.
Kids_in_park_03_23_11(1).jpg
Kids_in_park_03_23_11(2).jpg
etc,

Trail_hike_03_23_11(1).jpg
Trail_hike_03_23_11(1).jpg
etc.

I don't know what the Creative Memories Photoshop program is but this can be done in Photoshop Bridge or in Windows.
