I have photoshop CS5.
I had it for a while, so today i tried opening it up and it did not lauch.
I tried re-installing it and its the same problem

What do you think is the issue

might i add, that there is no error message coming up. Only the loading icon appears

OS?was there any change in your hardware?

anyway, try to search the preferences file. ie here: C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS3\Adobe Photoshop CS3 Settings or sth like that. there should be a Adobe Photoshop CS3pref.psp file. cut it from there and place it to the desk. now try starting PS.

note: the path of the pref file can be different depending on what version are you using.

Here's how you reset the Preferences file.
Start Photoshop and immediately hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Windows)
or Command+Option+Shift (Mac OS X).

Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"

If you want to just rename it to see if the file is causing the problem here's the locations of the Photoshop preferences file.
