Removing light glare on a wall

Hi

I am trying to remove glare from a wall. I have tried the stamp tool, but it ended up looking patchy; I tried using the masking tool and changing the saturation and colour levels but it just didn't look right.

Is there any other way to do this and making it look natural - I am stumped!

I have attached the photo.

Thanks in advance!

You could try layer mode I'm on iPhone but I can suggest trying duplicate layer> place new layer in darken or overlay mode

Re: HELP - removing light glare from a wall

you can make a new layer with color on top
and set blending mode on darker and play with opacity

-Duplicate the layer
-Leave the only wall part remaining (ie, remove the girl and the door)
-Use clone stamp to clear the light, don't worry if it looks patchy
-Decrease opacity.

You could try messing with changing blend mode to overlay or vivid light.

I like Colleague’s idea on this one, and it’s probably going to be your simplest option. Plus this way you can toggle with the opacity to get exactly what you’re looking for.
