I keep playing around with making gifs from single images, the effect i am after is a perspective styled 3D, do you think i am on to something?

dont know so much about the perspective 3d but it does send you into a hypnotic trance however the use of puppet tool and animate those front legs a few times and you can pull of a tiger running towards you that will be cool dont neglect the snow though

Yeah i am looking into ways of creating a new layer from the original background then doing a blur or something to it, but leave it motionless.
Thanks anyway.

Looks a bit strange with the ground moving. Keep playing with the tiger and shadow, and try moving the legs as Hoogleman suggested.

I think it would also look better if the movements were slower/more subtle.

Keep at it, animations are a lot of fun :)

looks verry cool but also a bit weird with his skin O.o maybe you could make more than 2 images to make it more motion like?
