Hello
I have this photo of a couple of children sitting on the bank of a canal close to where I live.
I have reduced it to 20% of its original size for this forum.
I would like to do two things with it: keep everything in focus apart from applying a slightly soft focus to the children. I have a 'soft focus' Action (not sure how to use Actions but I can read up on that), but I am not sure if that is the best way to go. Most of the tutorials on the Net deal with applying soft focus to a portrait which doesn't apply in this case.
My second aim is that the children are in the shade of that overhanging tree - which is fine - but the shade is too dark: you can hardly notice them.
What would be one way of achieving these aims, please?
Many thanks
