Straighting vertically an object in photoshop

Hello everyone! I want to make sure this wacom pen will be straight vertically, that means I will have to rotate it but is there an accurate way to doing so so it will be exactly straight

There are a few ways to do this but the easiest would be to just use guidelines.

You may have to use the Crop Tool to enlarge the canvas.

Set up guidelines.


Choose/select the Move Tool.
Use Free Transform to rotate the image.
You can use the directional arrow keys to nudge left or right.


Then add a new layer below the pen layer and fill with the white BG color.

I was looking for an accurate way to do so, not just rotate the image by eye, the guidelines do guide you but you are at the very end just rotating it to match the straight line

OK, no problem.

It's not any more accurate but try this.....

Remove the BG.
Use free transform to rotate more vertical.


Then select the Ruler Tool


Click and drag from the Pen's tip to it's top.


Then click straighten layer


Done. You will have to add back the BG.
