Vertical Type tool does not work as intended

Hello guys, newb here

I have this weird problem that I can't type text vertically (text remaining legible without having to turn your head but from top to bottom).

This is the result when selecting Vertical Type tool or changing text orientation. Not what I want

I have already reset PS preferences but it didn't help. Maybe I'm missing a really stupid thing here but I've watched all tutorials for this simple task and just can't come with a solution.

If any of you could help me out I would greatly appreciate it !

PS: I'm using v13.0.1 of CS6

Go to your preferences and under TYPE, select or change to East Asian.

First thing to check is this and make sure it's set to East Asian


Also try resetting PS Type Tool

Okay it worked ! Super, thank you
Thing is I changed that setting but didn't restart, then restarted with CTRL+ALT+SHIFT which deleted the setting !
