    Pivot point

Thanks for the reply Hoogle, the res is 600 pixels/inch

    Pivot point

Something odd that I have not noticed before is that there seems to be a size limit to being able to move the pivot point within a selection. Normally I would using the Lasso tool for example, select the area I want to rotate, hit the Move tool, click just outside the bounding box to change the...

What exactly is it that you would like to do?

Just need a little help with cutting a character out of the frame :)

No, I just right clicked the image in the post, hit copy, and pasted it into PS Edit: just tried it and am shocked at the difference. All I did on this one was adjust the brightness. Huge difference. Learn something new every day. This will make things easier going forward with these...

WOW, how did you guys get such a sharp image? Mine is quite soft. Very nicely done.

Just need a little help with cutting a character out of the frame :)

Thank you, I felt I could do better though so I took another crack at it. I am happier with this version. The first one was over sharpened in an attempt to enhance the detail lost due to the low quality of the OPs image. I did no sharpening in this 2nd attempt.

Given the poor quality of the original image I think this is not bad. I hope you like it.

    Album art Request

A simple solution would be to pick a subject/idea that you think reflects your band identity or album content and then do an image search using google image with the idea/subject as the search term (for example the search term "acid trip" or "hard funk, or even "funk rock")". Then, find a pic...

Are you talking about the marks on the shoulder or the blueish/black marks on the back? If its the shoulder the quick ans is yes. This was done in about 30 seconds using the burn tool set to shadows.

Hiw to play with shadow? Brightness? Light? Sun?

:) Tom, if you check my 3:03 edit above I mention that I had discovered this to be the case. Thanks for the confirmation.

Hiw to play with shadow? Brightness? Light? Sun?

Well, I did some research and it turns out I did a lot of toning work when I was shooting film but it was all in the darkroom and I thought of it as tinting not toning. I spent a lot of time with various toners produced by diff mfg and learnt to be able to selectively colour sections of images...

Hiw to play with shadow? Brightness? Light? Sun?

Actually the type of work I do has no call (I think) for this sort of thing so I have no idea how to do it. I was basically curious so I thought I would ask. I work almost exclusively on gray scale images for use in combination with a 3D CAD program to produce jewellery models. The only time I...
