    Hey Rich! Sorry you're having so many odd issues with CC! I've never had this type of issue, but I have had Ps become "sluggish" when dealing with large files sizes. What size is the file you're working with? I suspect it's something to do with the processor.

    The only thing I can suggest to make the photo placement easier, would be to create a place holding template (rectangle) and then clip the image to the template. Then all you have to do is free transform (Cmd + T) the photos to fit in the template. Note: I did not include this possibility...
