Can't remove the tile pattern on text/image layers with transparent bg

I would suggest looking at the troubleshooting fonts link from Adobe. They do indicate that problems can occur that don't seem like a font issue so that certainly fits. I did notice that the pattern propagates to many Layers and is associated with Fonts. So thought it would be worth a shot. Let us know if this helps
