Edge Smoothing

Hi everyone. If anyone can help me smooth out the edges on this shape below, to make it look like a vector, it would be really appreciated!

Just out of curiosity, did you use the pen tool to make a new one? if not would you mind telling me how you did it.

Tried a few different things and they went into the recycle bin

So done it from scratch, with the pen tool and rectangle marquee tool
