Moth,

Bevel for the text with a horizontal coloured grad fill to match the lamps.
Duplicate Text layer set to Screen to 'glass up' the text.
Clouds plus Chrome filters for the smoky atmosphere.
Lighting effects for the coloured lights.
4 lens flares on one layer, dimmed down for the flares. These were revealed via a layer mask.

Final effort with the 3D text done in 7 layers.

Well, once again I've beaten Wendy ..... 50 layers total for me on the TRS design (slinks away in shame).

I think I said 20+... I never did give the "+" a number.... 8[

But with 50 layers, you definitely get the award for biggest file size!

Yeah , I think that you tend to work like me... everything, and I mean "everything" on a separate layer, just to be on the safe side... and no 'layer styles'...[innocent]
