Overlap/Superposition: color change

Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows how it works as it does in the image below, when two colors overlap, they change into a different one (specifically one in the color palet used by this artist, @kid_woof on insta). Thanks!superposicion.jpg
 
I think in this case he / she is using the blend mode linear dodge.

Create a black background with a red square on it. Set your brush colour to green then create a layer above and set its blend mode to Linear Dodge and paint you should get something like this.

Different colour brushes will react in different ways.
