For the first time in the history of man, we have landed on a comet. What an accomplishment!

... and one specific relevance to this forum is that if you ever need backgrounds for your fantasy photoshop constructions, you now have images like the attached one to use. Amazingly enough, it doesn't look all that different from the fantasies of sci fi artists of the past few decades.

Darn... I forgot this one was being televised today......

Yup... A great accomplishment!!!

Good thing the craft didn't bounce and rebound into space during the landing. That would have spelled disaster..... Was the spear positioned under the craft used to hold the craft down? or the design function of the landing legs worked?

Found out earlier the harpoon anchor failed and that the craft may have bounced off a bit. WHEW... that was a heartstopper for those in control. Actually... there's no immediate control from them. And nothing for them to do if it does.

All seems well it seems ..... sitting back to enjoy the ride.

I moved the two humorous images from this thread over there. Feel free to add other humorous takes on the event, construct fantasy sci-fi scenes based on the imagery, whatever (within reason) inspires you. I think this event is going to inspire a lot of Photoshop work, and we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg here.

BTW, I also cleaned up this thread by deleting all previous posts relating to the humorous side of things.
