ive tried everything i know of (not much).
i tried layering it and blending. and using overlay. even tried erasing so that the face shows but cant.

This is fun, i thought, I'll give it a try, while i got some time to spare, like iDad said, i need some practice too.



And, like always i recommend don't be intimidated by the "complexity" of the PS tools, once you get used to it, is a lot of fun, just experiment and try something new every time.

thanks guys. the 3rd one, by Maximus is more in terms of what im going for. but you guys did way better job than i could ever do lol. any more would be greatly appreciated

the thing is. i tried to blend this cartoon picture into a picture of like a ocean horizon. but i cant make the egdes of the picture fade out with the background. does anyone know how to do that? like it looks like it cut/pasted on, but im looking to overlay it.

this is the best i can do. what i do is i paint in the similar colors over the edges, then i try to use the blur tool. but as u can see edges r kinda there. is there an easier way. or do i just need to get better at what im doing

You are probably using the wrong blending mode. I too am away from my computer with Photoshop. Can take a gander at it later in the day.
